As per the MyCleanImagio posting:

Version 1.9 235XX with CHT 1.6.1 (The themes available at the cab repository will not work with this build. Consider this a "just for fun" build)
Please understand 23563 is a beta build, so may contain sys/graphics glitches, everything I do on 21874, seems to be working on 23563 fairly well, did not had to reset yet! Please understand, as I stated before, I'm not planning to keep up with these beta builds... however I'll post from time to time MyCleanImagio with them... 21874 is the stable one. This version uses Showcase as a task manager, and "you" need to learn how to use it! This is my 1st release of MyCleanImagio with WM 6.5.5.

Hey Steve - I remembered something I wanted to ask you. I am using 23563. In Personal\Buttons - the Multimedia key is no longer listed there. I usually set mine to camera so if I need to take a quick pic I don't have to find the shortcut on my phone.

Is there some way to map the camera application to the multimedia key?

thanks.

Which is exactly what is happening on 23xxx. It goofs up the taskbar, and then plays havoc with Manila.

What needs to happen in order for this to work is that it needs to become an OEM and be cooked into the build. This way it can be patched in and then should be ok. Since I am not including it as part of my build it will not work properly after the fact.

Thanks for the info.

Steve

Steve

I can testify to that. I had to do a hard reset after installing a MyCleanImagio taskbar (I forgot they were 6.5 and Steve's Manilla is 6.5.x). I tried an uninstall - but it left my bottom taskbar goofed up. No fault of Adortab's.

Absolutely no fault of Adortab's at all. Its the 23xxx builds and how the dlls operate that is the issue. I am just glad we were able to solve this, or I would have spent alot of time spinning and trying to make it work.

If you really want those then just use my 21903 ROM.

Notes and media button will be restored in next build, which will be today sometime. PIE is there...but I will check once again.

Re: Steve's Imagio Manila ROM v1.1

Hey Steve - I have a suggestion. Maybe you could start a ".cab repository" on hotfile. It could be a page with useful apps that people may want to install after they flash your rom. Some of the more common apps that come with most roms that people may be expecting. I know I really enjoyed the fact that your rom didn't have google maps or bing already included. But some people that have always had access to those on their roms may not have a .cab ready to install. I know it took me several hours to find a way to get Office.

Just a suggestion of course.

You can usually find any.cab past or present over at xda. I just put the cab name in search and have it in a minute or so. Or if I can't find it there I just google it and it takes me to a site that has it.

As stated in the first post I am not the app guy. I really feel this should be left to the individual.

On a sep note I have been able to figure out Modem Link. New ROMs will be uploaded sometime tonight that will contain a smaller core and other improvements.

spetrillo 05-27-2010 09:59 AM

Re: Steve's Imagio Manila ROM v1.1

I am uploading the new v1.1d ROMs now. These ROMs have a smaller core, fixed Modem Link, restoration of Notes and Tasks icons, and other small fixes. This will be the last of the v1 ROMs that I will make, unless someone comes across a show stopper of an issue. I would appreciate it if those who are using my ROMs please exercise this latest version. I would like to know if anything is wrong, as I move to v2 of my ROMs.

As a teaser v2 of my ROMs will include the following:

1) 21874 XIP and Core (Should improve memory mgmt)
2) Sashimi auto installer
3) Continued cleanup of non-essential items

Sashimi should solve the problem of installing your apps after a flash. Not only can it install cabs but it can install exe and reg changes. The one caveat to using Sashimi is that you will need a memory card.

Keeping in mind that my ROMs do not have apps I would be interested in knowing if I am missing anything in the current ROMs. I would be happy to include them in v2.

Thanks,
Steve

Re: Steve's Imagio Manila ROM v1.1

I for one would appreciate office 2010. It is not an "app" that is continually updated and would constantly need replacing. For me it is a long process to install the Office suite right now. First 2007. Then the 2007 update from Microsoft. Then the 2010 update. Soft resetting each time.

I think most people expect the Office suite on their rom. Just my $0.02 . If you don't include it - I will just continue with my current process.

**EDIT** oh yeah - and how about a custom boot animation instead of that Verizon one? Like the "HTC quietly brilliant" or something?

thanks for considering.

Ok due to popular demand Office 2010 is now included. I have updated the ROMs. As to boot animation I wanted to keep the VZW animation.

Just installed the new 23563 and everything works fine so far.
Question : How do you power off the phone now that the option is not on the end button any longer ?

If there was a .cab repository you could grab xdashutdown...

;)

...since there is no other way besides pulling the battery. I think that is the intended shut down method.

Im downloading now. Just want to say the site you are using for us to download your rom's rock. I download at 284 kb a sec. The fastest site I have ever downloaded from!
And thanks for adding notes to the rom. I use that a lot.

After 24 hrs 23563 is doing fine on my phone.
Boots up with 87.98 free rom and 247.51 free storage.
Apps installed are:
Opera mini 5
Google Maps
Showcase task mgr
Weather Radar
nueBattery
xdaShutdown
soft reset
Screen toggle
Brent G. color icons
Has not crashed or had to be reset yet , rom running smooth.

Steve - you asked for possible additions. I think Marketplace is pretty basic and most people will be expecting a link for it on the phone. Just throwing it out there. I have got the .cab so a non issue for me.

I would expect an update sometime tonight. Stay tuned and thanks to you all for the comments/feedback!

Excellent. Thanks for your continued efforts.

1. I have been meaning to ask about the facebook functionality of this rom. Unless I am doing something wrong - which is completely possible - I cannot get my contacts to be associated with their facebook accounts and the facebook tab does not update (after hitting the update button). Also - the "app" portion (fim) gives me an error...

"The file 'fim' cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate etc..."

2. Am I able to delete files from the Windows folder? I am using GTX and having a problem rearranging my tabs. The GTX thread says to try deleting a file "manilafull.xml" . When I delete the file and reset - it is still there. So I was wondering if you had the Windows folder read/write protected?

No I dont write protect the Windows directory. You can re-arrange the tabs from the Settings tab.

As to FB did you setup your login id and pswd? I have only seen the no update issue when that is not done. I am working on the FIM issue but it will prolly not be fixed in the next rev.

Ok, I am trying to download the new update, and when I click on the download button, it tell me to wait 90 seconds. It counts down, and then I click on Click Here to download this file, and then the Download Now button, and it takes me right back to the count down again. Is there something I'm doing wrong? :(

Ok, never mind.. After all this time, its finally downloading. Not sure what was wrong, unless it was the site.

I have a question Steve. Didn't there used to be two Setting's Icons..Like when you hit "Start, Settings...Didn't it used to take you to the page that has "System, Personal, Sounds and Notifications, Connections? Now when you hit Start, Settings, It takes you to where you have to hit Menu, then all Settings. That's the long way around. Can you do a shortcut for this?

Its actually HTC that has decided to make Manila the defacto interface, thus why there is only one Settings item now. If you need to go to Settings you should tab over to the Settings tab and go from there.
