Install nueBattery2TP2CDMA-122-v1.2-cab and activate it (check the top two boxes only) and you will have a 1% reading. just google nueBattery , he has his own web page .

Re: [ROM] MyCleanImagio-21874 Apr/19th [Build 1.8]

Okay, so I've been running the Plain 1.8 ROM for a few days now. A solid and stable ROM. Initially I was a little turned off by the darkening of a few of the skins but that's grown on me and I'm thinking of making this my permanent Imagio solution.

One thing I am dealing with I want to bring to Ab's attention and see if any of you are having a similar experiece is the ROm does feel a bit laggy. All functions do work perfectly but even after a soft reset, maneuvering between tabs and executing some functions does lag notably. My comparison point is the VZW stock ROMs. I've jumped in and out some of the custom ROMs over the weeks but I keep going back to the stock ROMs because I just look at them as being more reliable and more responsive.

My going in position is that and 2.5 ROM will be more resource intensive than a 2.0 ROM. I get that and in fact, my resource usage for the PLain 1.8 rarely climbs above 70%. Even still, for me it's laggy - today it caused me to place a few unintended calls and delete a few items unintentionally.

My intent isn't to log a complait. In fact, I like this ROM enough that I'm determined to make it work for me. I just wanted to put this on the table and see if any of you are having a similar experience. Anyone else seeing some unwanted lag? Anyone having better luck with a new D3D driver (I've played with AtomEng's with no noticable improvement)? Anyone rolling in other perfomrance tweaks and seeing an improvement (I've applied most of the 2.0 tweaks - even installed TweakHD at one point and used it to adjust some settings)?

I appreciate everything Ab's done and how responsive he's been the past few weeks to my and other's feedback and requests. Just wnat to know what else I might be able to do improve a little on Ab's hard work.

i use a program called memmaid to keep everything clean. Memmaid has a performance setion that offers you a few preset options. I pick "extreme speed". memmaid also has a lil program called reclaim ram. does a good job. I consider this to be the 2cd fastest rom but the most stable. everything runs great but messaging seems a lil laggy. I do notice SOME lag but over all compared to all of the others (except the energy rom) its much faster. The very first thing i do i customize tabs and remove the home tabs i dont use. you see a NOTICABLE increase in speed. I delete : stocks, reader, footprints, twitter, music, & photos. also try turning the weather animation off.

i also use the bsb tweaks and tweak the glyph cache and tcp cache to max.

Hi jeff, thank you for your comments, a few points that I would like to add, please test if you can, and report: (I'm not sure about all your settings I'll just post some of my findings with speed)

- The quicklinks (CHT) seems to be a bottleneck when it comes to performance with 2.5 running on 528mhz processors. Cookie CHT enables you to add up to three pages.... on my phone if I fill up all three pages, it does slow sense a lot... two pages, still slows down a bit... one page 4x4, makes a huge difference compared to three... on my phone I leave only the top four quicklinks with the programs I like, plus three on the bottom including the weather animation switch... with this last setting, I dont feel lag at all, sense is responsive, and feels even faster than 2.0 from the stock rom... I cooked myself a rom without CHT, wwaaaaaayyy faster.... lol, however CHT is a great mod, on my work phone I sticked with 1.6.1 (which is included on 1.8, 1.7.1 seems to me,to be slower/heavier), the same happens even with the fastest sense I've seen cooked in a rom (NRG rom CFC'ed, etc), that one is really fast after you flash the rom, but after loading it up with stuff... it becomes unusable for me, and manila crashed a few times too...
Anyway, please try this.. save/backup your quicklinks using the CHT Editor, use only one page... then delete all the icons just for testing... look/feel if it makes any difference... then add/try a few again....

- (Improved on 1.9)The tabs Footprints, DocExplorer, Reader are not as fast as the other tabs... they were made for the HD2... however I do like them a lot specially the DocExplorer.... the same happens with the Music/Photo tab when you turn the phone (fullscreen mode enabled, which can be disabled using the cabs posted). So in this case, I just got used to it... and doesn't bother me at all, Im not sure if we can fix it unless a new release comes up. Try disabling the tabs you dont like or don't use, makes a difference...

- The rom already have several tweaks applied, including a tweaked 3D driver (the weather animations demo is as smooth as on HD2)... for sure after you used HDTweak or other great tweak program available, you broke the settings already cooked with the rom, please remember that those programs were made specifically for other phones, we don't have yet one for the Imagio, some of the tweaks offered may work fine on the Imagio, some of them would even improve performance... what I would encourage... when you or other users find a setting/tweak that does seem to improve the overall perfomance of the rom, please post here, ill find a way to include it at the "core" of the rom... anyway, I do believe that by applying all/or some of the settings of the tweak programs you may have decreased the overall performance of the rom. (specially TCP, Glyph Cache, File Cache... those can really screw up the rom and mess with memory management...),I'm not saying the tweaks already applied are the best... they seem to work best for me... so if you want to help develop it... test tweaks one at time... and please report... there are a few other users reporting the rom works really fast without applying any tweak, and that's how they helped since 1.0 ...

- Another huge factor, I guess.... is how you setup/tweak your phone, if you read the entire thread... some users reported problems that a few others together with me, we're never able to reproduce on our phones...
Not to blame any user, everyone likes to mod/change/set the phone the way they like... however... by doing it... may slow down, even break a few functions... I'm not sure on how to help on these cases... there are thousands of fantastic useful apps out there ... some of them made for the HD2 (1GHZ processor)... that work's fine on the Imagio but......lol.... some of them replacing the default libraries, breaking other programs/functions (dll's, battery.dll for example which deals with power management, G-Config messing up the rotation, etc), and some of them that simply will not work in conjunction with others. Unfortunatelly, there is no cure/fix for it. Everyone will have to deal with it's own experience.

- (Fixed 1.9) The messaging program, after using Windows Live to sync with hotmail, it's not as fast as after flashing (50 emails/headers 50K)... having 100 SMS stored at the phone, does slow down a bit for me too... I guess cause it takes more time to load and display them...not sure how to improve that... I do need those functions, so I just got used to it...

Anyway, for me these are the bottlenecks when it comes to speed for MyCleanImagio...
1.8 is pretty much the most stable rom/version I could put together, after almost two weeks... had not to soft reset/crash/hard reset yet... everything installed on the phone seems to work as expected, I tried as much as I could to make it as compatible as possible... flash and play, not having to setup connections, etc... I do use almost everything installed plus a lot of other programs... disabling the pages for the quicklinks made a huge difference for me... (1.8 comes defaut with one page enabled only...) and to my taste I feel it pretty fast considering the programs/improvements added in relation to the stock rom.

My final point about speed... everyone has your own feeling about speed (it's not a benchmark), and depending on how you setup/mod your phone it will vary a lot, some will find it blazing fast... some will feel it laggy... and that makes it really hard to evaluate/improve the great roms available out there...

Re: [ROM] MyCleanImagio-21874 Apr/19th [Build 1.8]

Some great insight and thoughts above Ab. Thanks. I started suspecting CHT may be adding to the lag I was experiencing amd after reading you comments, I'll play around with this. I did in fact have 3 pages of quick links set, one fully populated and the other two close to full up. I'll have a spin and get back to you on that.

I've always disabled/not used stocks, FB, Twitter, Footprints, Doc Exp and Reader tabs. Disabling them is usually the first thing I do after a ROM upgrade. I can't speak much to their contribution other than I never really use them.

Your point is well taken WRT what's good for the HD2 may not be good for the Imagio. I probably need to be a bit more cautious when applying performance tweaks but hey, not all testing falls in the 'successful' swim lane.

Again, thanks for your responsiveness. I'm going to put some time into fooling with my CHT settings and see what I come up with. I'll report back soonest.

Adortab you hit the nail right on the head. It's all how you set up your phone.
Having had a vzw Diamond in the past ( It was limited because of not much memory) I learned to delete the stuff you really don't need. If you want a fast phone you have to set it up fast. If I want to save 500 emails I'll save them on my netbook ,same with 500 photos or ten videos. My phone doesn't replace my laptop , it just helps me stay connected at home and work. If you want it fast and the battery to last you have to help it out and not load it down with too much extra stuff you don't really need.

Adortab, did you ever post a cab to be able to access the settings link menu from the today screen? I know you're busy, just didn't know if I missed it. I looked through the thread and didn't see it. Thanx

Haha, good luck with the Incredible, looks like it's an amazing phone, the specs are really exciting, keep us posted.... (I guess your daughter will like one of the new themes that comes with the Control Panel on 1.9)... Have fun!
