There are still some very solid free options out there. The two that come to mind are Dropbox and MS SkyDrive. Both have the option of making certain folders publicly available and have a decent amount of infrastructure behind them. And while I'm a huge Dropbox fan, SkyDrive will even give you a browsable file listing similar to mediafire.

Just add Windows Live via Marketplace, which will then add Live Mail for you.

Side note:
This is an annoyance that I've been dealing with for a while, but I figure I'll ask. Is anyone else having problems with the XT9 mode being painfully slow? When I'm typing if I hit space and don't wait to see the XT9 suggestion go away and just keep typing it will ignore the space and turn what I typed into one giant run-on word. My 2 options are a) type slow, or b) turn off XT9 and type slow.

One thing i would like is to add lock tab to left soft key. doe's anybody no away to do this.

Drellisdee et al, is there any way to have WinMo ignore the WAV files that Bing installs so that they don't show up as possible notification tones?

For example, go to change the Message: New Message notification and you'll see a ton of hexadecimal-named WAV files and other Bing-related entries.

The files appear to exist in both \Windows and \Program Files\Bing\Audio. I assume the ones in \Windows are the ones being picked up. Does Bing typically put the files in both places, or is this a possible side-effect/bug with the cooked in version of Bing?

Of all the issues to have, this certainly counts as very very minor 1.5e has been great so far. HTC Messaging is greatly improved, haven't found anything non-trivial to complain about (Coming from 1.5a).

Sorry, no, but I quoted to ask a corollary question: Does anyone know how to completely disable XT9? I don't use it, and I have a nasty habit of hitting the button and it comes back on. I see the SIP has it off for certain things, is there a key/setting/hack to just make it always off? File under personal preference only, please

SkyDrive has one really annoying limitation, I believe any given file is limited to 50MB (?). You have to split it up into multiple .zips/.rars. But, it is free and fast. I use that all the time. Never used Dropbox, but I'll check it out. The file size limit on SkyDrive has made me annoyed more than once trying to share photos with my wife while she's still overseas.

Easiest way -- extract one of the old versions with all the files, extract the new NBH file into the same directory and either rename the new NBH to the same as the other one or simply delete the old one. Then run the normal flash process...
