Now, with Footprints ("almost" fully operational), this is my ROM of choice! I was checking all of them over the weekend and this is the best. Thank you, drellisdee!

Thats as good as it will work on anything other than HD2 as the footcam only functions on leo hardware. After you take the gps photo from album you can set it as a footprint. That is if you didn't already figure it out. Its also a noticable speed difference in all the other manila tabs that are designed for the rhod s2 which uses the same msm 528mhz series processor as us and the footprints tab which was for the leo's snapdragon. Its kinda too bad as VZW will not be releasing any new windows 6.5 phones other than a budget non htc model so no new windows HTC's till WP7 is out.

I've been working on a work related android app for the last few weeks and created a fully working concept app on an emulator and it took them 2weeks to provide me a suitable android device to debug on. It's not very fun throwing apps/roms together hoping you got it right but not being able to properly test it.

Also, do you have a TON of messages? I've found that after archiving last year's messages, performance was better. At this point, i've given up on restoring SMS's. I just do a quick upload-only to Myphone right before flashing my phone. After all, why do i really NEED all those messages on my phone if i can access everything online..?

That said, I probably have at least 750 messages a month, sometimes more, so it gets bogged down pretty quickly. I usually notice a significant performance hit with ALL messaging after about 500 SMS's.

i noticed the backlight issue too, but that's been the case with this phone regardless of ROM. I believe mine did that with stock ROM too.

(Oh, and i restore PIM data from Exchange with Active Sync, SMSs and everything else from MyPhone.)

I would say try a hard reset and reflash and don't restore messages as it clogs htc messaging.
Hard Reset completed. So far, everything seems to have been corrected. Even noticed a feature i'd never noticed before!
On the People tab, where your favorites are located, if you have an email from one of your favorites, there's a little envelope icon beneath their picture. That's pretty neat.

HTC messaging IS faster now...but still slower than arcsoft

What is it about doing hard reset after you've flashed? Why is this so important to do?

It could be that remnants of the old ROM are left behind, I really don't know. But I do know that after I flash any rom to my phone, I do a hard reset. It's the first thing I do.

I did and I am very happy with it. All I wanted is to be able to create footprint. Starting from a GPS tagged photo in an album is only a very minor inconvenience.

If you press and hold the Windows key in the lower left, a program called Showcase will pop up. edit: I mean the Windows softkey, or is it better called the Start button?

Re: [ROM] 6.5.5 Drellisdee Whitestone RC1.4 23568 05/08/10

Clock flip issue. How can I fix this? Everytime I go to applications or some other area and then go back to home, the clock starts flipping until it get to the right time. Kind of annoying. Also is there a cab for the facebook tab?

Thanks
Jason
