Did you try the GPS test app in...

Start Button > GPS (Folder) > ChartCross GPSTest

If that works then it has to be something with Google Maps.

... If all else fails when NRG updates the ROMs today update and first thing before you change settings see if Google Maps works... It might have been something you did after that messed up Google Maps.

Thanks man! I think you pointed me in the right direction. I actually used the HTC utility which requires that you click a button entitled 'Open Port' which opens the COM port that the GPS device runs on. After that, I launched Google Maps and wah lah!... it locked on 10 satellites immediately. Thanks again!

I have always used GPS before with no issues. Also, I have the Energy 23544 Cookie Monster ROM installed.

Load Quick GPS first, then turn on Use GPS, Im am also set to Com4

So I've tried this carrier provisioning thing a couple times now and it just resets to sprint after a soft reset. I understand that it will always be on sprint, but I don't see how you guys are getting the 3g icon to pop up instead of Ev. I really don't want to install another taskbar, just want the one that comes with this awesome freaking rom and any help would be appreciated.

Update: cab didnt fix it. I want what was on the original Imagio rom on the HTC home screen where when you have a new voice mail, it would say "1 Voice Mail" in the middle of the screen where the Call History and Calendar Icons are. When you clicked on the "1 Voice Mail" icon, it would automatically call your voice mail. This was a great feature and I would like to get it back if possible.

okay, that's what I thought. It is not the end of the world. I can just hold down the #1 button to call voice mail. Thought I could just save a second of my life each time

if you want the 3g icon, you would have to install a new task bar..

To get the 3G icon to display, copy the tapres.192 file to the windows folder, overwrite when it asks you to, and the reboot. I suggest using Resco Explorer since it is a more advanced and very easy to use file explorer.

Co0kie Monster and Co (Santod, etc) are aware of the speed issues with the Home Tab mod on devices *other* than the HD2, which has a 1Ghz processor. They did recommend changing your links format to 5 across to speed things up a bit (counter intuitive but apparently works). You'll get quick replies and better info on the Co0kie HT Mod if you post questions in the thread, which is here.

Has anyone else had a meeting reminder pop up interfere with the slide lock screen? I just had to pull the battery because the slide lock stopped working. Not sure if it was related to the meeting reminder but they happened in conjunction.
