You hit the hammer right on the head, HSPL and Custom ROMs do not unlock the sim card to work on any network. Verizon is a CDMA network and the GSM will only function on overseas networks unless the sim is unlocked.

Thanks, I know about sashimi, just trying to see of anyone has actually tried these tools and had any luck with them. There may be other options until someone can definitively rule them out.

Yes, and once the sim is unlocked it works on ANY US GSM provider, even though it's technically not supposed to. Mine works on T-Mobile and AT&T.

Yay! Let the tweaking begin :P The ROMs are usually much better after I get done tweaking them with an actual device

So a question for you guys... since you have hardware "start" and "back" keys... should we apply that cab I released a while to remove the start menu button in the 23547 builds ?!

Thats good to hear, cant wait to see what you come up with, hopefully you can see about being able to access tv out.

Any information on restoring the 3 row start menu cab or a fix for photo landscape fullscreen fix?

The hardware keys are fragile and can be mapped if we want to use them for other applications. In my opinion I would keep the start menu button.

Yeah, I'd keep the software buttons. The hard keys tend to break easily... A 55% failure rate in 5 months, actually. I'd keep the soft keys. In fact, I even added a phone soft key and lock soft key, to avoid using the hard buttons as much as possible.
