Well I can give you my first impressions, but it might not be too accurate. I went from 21xxx R2 to 23xxx R3 (to try out 6.5.5).

23547 R3 seems to be MUCH faster than 21895 R2. MUCH MUCH MUCH faster. Can't comment much on batter life. I was at 74% when I flashed, 15 minutes later I'm at 61% (keep in mind I'm also changing all the settings, installing cabs and rebooting often). Bad battery life is to be expected on a new flash.

I plan to enable the weather animations, I'll see if that slows it down any.

I did have it freeze once so far on 23547 R3, just after putting my Facebook and Twitter info into the Data Services tab. Ended up having to soft reset.

I really miss the HTC Task Manager as its not present in 6.5.5... probably have to find some way to fix that. I'm itching to know what apps are open and which ones closed properly. Also since the task manager is gone, I have no way of gauging memory usage.

Tap in the top left to get the new task manager, it shows what apps are open and gives you how much memory you have free out of how much is available.. no percent though.

The themes work perfect in this version, it has the theme from the R1 and R2 versions as well guys, it makes it look just like those versions. 2007 is the theme you guys want.

I would definitely recommend upgrading guys, looking great!

EDIT: Just wanted to add my 2 cents on the 3g icon, i flashed the new rom and provisoned right after it booted to sense for the first time still connected to the computer and am still getting the EV icon.

The task manager built into the 23547 builds (and ALL 6.5.5 I build) is actually much better than the HTC counterpart. You can see it in Tools/Arkswitch or you can easily launch it by tapping the top left corner of the screen where the old start menu button used to be

One neat trick about the new taskmanager (arkswitch) is that you can tap on the ICON of the application in the application list and you can get details about that app. You can add it as an exclusion there as well :P

What does the NRGZ28 23547 Lockscreen patch.cab fix exactly? I just flashed with 23547 and my lockscreen appears to work as expected.

Did you happen to config the YouTube settings as well when you were in the Data Services tab. Every time I do that I get a hang about 30-40 seconds later. If I stay away from the YouTube settings, I haven't had a problem...

Off the top of my head I think thats roughly 30% free... so 70% used on a fresh boot. That seems high to me, no?

Nope, I left youtube alone. Haven't touched it since R1.
