I am not trying to insult your intelligence, but I know that I have had problems with some of the programs because I forget to use the "Run as Administrator" option. Have you tried right clicking on the program and use "Run as Administrator"?

Bummer man. Sorry -I was hoping it would be something easy like that. When you downloaded the second time -you donated? And it still doesn't work?

Do you have access to a different computer? Bc the program remembers your specific computer and device (I think). But you have a new device - so that shouldn't be a problem. can you try running it from a different computer? If I were you though -just to be safe -I would bite the bullet - try a new computer (if you have access) and just donate $4 more dollars and download the file fresh to the new computer.

That is all I can think to suggest. Hopefully a more technoligically advanced user will come to your rescue with a good answer.

I have the same issue. I tried to unlock my replacement phone to no avail. I tried a different computer. No dice. I even tried a totally different computer on someone else's network...no dice. I wonder if my first attempt to unlock my replacement on the same computer as I used before blacklisted my EID? I've contacted HSPL a month ago after I donated $ but haven't heard back...and my trouble ticket is still open.

Hi, I am looking forward to buy an unlocked Imagio. But, the seller has described the carrier as Verizon and the device as unlocked global (GSM and CDMA capable) device. I have already asked the seller and he replied :

'I don't think this will work on ATT, you might check on http://www.ppcgeeks.com forums. The people there are very helpful. It is unlocked so you can set it up with custom ROMs which make it manage battery/ram better and other customizations."

so, this whole unlocked Imagio means unlocked to set up custom ROMs ? :scratch:

I've the same problem: I just got my replacement Imagio (stuck Send key on the first one). It came with the 3.04.605.7 OEM ROM. I've tried unlocking this one as with my first -- but I keep getting the tricolor screen (bootloader spl 0.39.0000) then the progress bar sticks at 0% before the Win updater app times out. I'm running HSPL update in Manual mode. Any ideas?

I'm having trouble with this.

I can connect my phone with my laptop using active sync and when I run the unlocker it goes into the blank screen mode and says verifying the information on your pda phone...please wait... and then I get a message saying Error 260 Connection. It is losing the active sync connection right after it goes into blank screen mode. I have tried running the SSPL-Manual-Whitestone.exe on my phone and the same thing happens it loses active sync right after it goes to the blank screen mode. Any ideas?

I am pretty sure you have to have an active internet connection when you run HSPL. DO you have an active internet connection? Not 100% positive - maybe someone can verify for us - but I do remember reading about it on here and I did post something about it in post #1 of my "Help" thread...

Thanks, but that's not it, the first time I tried it I wasn't connected to the internet and it say "cannot connect to server please try again in 5 minutes" or something like that. My problem is that once the unlocker starts my usb connection drops.

1. Ok - I am not sure if I understand completely - but make sure your computer is connected to the internet - I am 99.9% sure you have to be.

2. Next - here is one I always forget - when you run the HSPL make sure you use the option to "Run as Administrator". In other words, right click on the HSPL file, and "Run as Administrator"

Have you already tried that? I know it is basic - but I forget all the time.

I got it finally. It must just not like my laptop. It worked just fine on my desktop. I did exactly the same thing and it worked just fine from there.

about support tickets, Olipro says on our support ticket page http://support.htc-unlocks.com: We recently suffered a DB corruption and a number of tickets were lost, if you can no longer login, please recreate your ticket!

so what this means for you is, if you got an unanswered ticket, please make a new ticket with the same text to get help.

Alright.. I've been dwelling on this thing for 2 weeks!.. can't get it to flash no matter what I try!

The RUU goes into bootloader but the progress bar gets stuck at 0% until the RUU shows an error 262 (connection lost). then asks to recover it.

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE EXTRACT THE RUU_SIGNED.NBH FILE FROM THE HSP[ PACKAGE AND SEND IT TO ME?

There's one last thing I'd like to try.. Flash it from my SD card

Submited ticket June 15. Tick.#995516. Still no responce.
I had to replace my imagio cause media key stopped working and the phone was stuck in the headset mode. I got the new imagio but can not unlock because software thinks i am commercial user. Please help. I can not stand stock rom and want to use Energy that i like so much.

Ok, I hope someone can help me. I paid for the unlocker once, and for some reason it is gone from my desktop. I received a new replacement imagio, and when I try to download the hard spl, my computer says its a trojan virus. And so when I try to run it, it doesn't do anything. Can someone please help me. Please.....

it's because you have to turn off your antivirus and firewall first. but even once you get past that, there'll be a fatal error cause it's detecting that you've already had one previously. you will have to send a ticket through their support site:http://support.htc-unlocks.com/index.php to request for one. They just don't want it to be commercially use, that's why they limit it but they will give you a new one (supposedly) for a replacement phone. I'm also doing the same thing for my new replacement phone.

Thanks for the info Perhaps you could help me a bit more. I loaded the unlocker on my comp then to the phone , it went fine however when i tried to load rhodium rom it keeps saying error message 244 invalid phone id or serial nimber. Any odeas TIA Chuck.

Is the WhiteStone Hard-SPL really free?
This is my first time to use this WhiteStone Hard-SPL. I wanted to unlock my brand new Imagio just got from Verizon. It said that this Hard-SPL was used before and asked for a donation.

It is really free the first time. If you ever get a replacement phone you will have to "donate" to use it again.

At least that used to be the case when it was first released. If you try to use it and get an error - then you probably have to "donate" (if you get an error message there will be an option to donate).

This is my first time for the first Imagio (Not a replacement). It did not work.

If it need to donate for the first time user, why don't they just post a price for sale like the SIM unlocker. If they do that way, I will pay it. The PPCGeeks is a free Forum. I don't like that it is stated as free, but you have to "donate" to get it working. :protest:

Well - i am pretty sure the reason you have to "donate" is bc most people are all about getting something for nothing and never contribute any thing. That is just a guess though.

Yes. Yes. You don't have to obtain the original Rom. I don't even know where you can get it. The stock Rom upgrade will work bc it is an official rom release. So flash the Verizon rom and then relock.

Can anyone upload an alternate download for the Imagio HardSPL unlocker? The main download link has the bandwidth exceeded. I found the file on a different site by searching in google, but my PC said it had a virus in it.

Almost all anti-virus software reports a virus in the HSPL (unlocker) - even from the original post. Not sure why.

I would try and help you out - but I can't do it for a couple of days. So maybe someone knows where you can get it.

Don't blame your aniti-virus. It is right. The HSPL unlocker DOES have a "virus". It automatically sends your computer and phone information to the Server when you use it to unlock your phone. That's why it only works when your internet connection is active.

actually, the antivirus probably doesn't care about that - it cares about the packer I used for the program itself. false alarm in terms of that.

When I was using it in the work computer, the network administrators immediately detected it. They informed me that my computer was infected by "Bloodhound.W32.EP". I told them the antivirus in my computer had quarantined it already. They still insisted on taking my computer away and running mandatory scans.

I've been trying to run the HardSPL on my imagio for the first time now but when I try automatic flashing of the HardSPL, I get an error stating that I have to make sure my device is synchronized and the radio is on. My device is properly synchronized but I'm not entirely sure what radio I need to turn on, I had my phone on CDMA only but changed it to Global for flashing the HardSPL. I tried flashing with the enablerapinew.cab as well but got the same result.

When I try manual flashing, I get error 246 that my device is not responding and then says that I have unlocked another device, even after donating and I have not unlocked another device.

I also tried flashing by going into bootloader mode first and then running RUU.exe but the progress bar hung at 0% and I got error 262 where I had to recover the phone. I tried flashing with each method without a sim card or SD card in the phone as well as with a PC with XP and a PC with Vista. Any input would be appreciated.
