Not sure how big the ticket queue for their support site is but, i had to get my 3rd warranty replacment imagio (and they sent me another re-certified phone =( ). I've had an open ticket to get the ability to unlock this replacement for close to 2 weeks now =/.

It is my experience that they are not going to get back to you (at least not in a timely matter- at all). When I got my 2nd phone -and got the message, "cannot use bc used it already" there was an option to donate -so I just donated and was then unable to unlock. They deserve it anyways.

Can I go on a rant that is in no way directed at you Kev?

We get these smart phones and we pay $30 a month extra so we can get unlimited data. I get tired of hearing that, "Yea- but I am a poor college student and every dollar counts. I can't afford to pay $4 more blah blah blah..."

If every dollar counted so much - why didn't you get the free flip phone on the cheapest plan? Some people aren't in the community - they stop by the community to get anything they can for free and never give back a dime in the way of donations or helpful responses.

I agree with you 100%, but I did donate $10GBP when I first used the HSPL on my first Imagio.... Am I supposed to donate each time I need to unlock my Imagio after the buttons get stuck? I hope not.

Why if I do Hard Reset then reset the radio on my Verizon completely different settings will be lost and the operator how to avoid this in Hard Reset ?

Anyone know another place to get the unlocker ??? That site cmonex has it on is CHOCK full of viruses!!!!

Hell the company firewall is prolly sending my info to IT right now just for trying to go to that site !

There is no virus. The virus scan software gives a false positive due to the nature of the program. This has been reported by users on this very thread.

every time i try to dl the unlocker its not in the zip or it disappears i don't mind donating again but i cant get to the unlocker to do it. i had to get a replacement and i hate the stock rom. can someone help me find the unlocker somewhere else? i did a ticket a week ago but i got no help there. thx

This is because your virus scan software is deleting the executable from the zip file. Disable your virus scan before downloading and opening the zip file.

this may be a dumb quesiton, but i have unlocked and installed the energy rom. if i want to update to the newest energy rom, do i need to unlock again?

All I can say is ... its not a "DONATION" if they MAKE You do it. Why not just say "first phone unlocked for free, after that its $6 per phone". Or maybe since they are doing something that is on the edge of legal they shouldn't try to make a living at it. :-({|=

All of that being said, I'm sure that it takes a lot of work to make these tools available to us and I do appreciate it and I HAVE donated. But "donate" for every phone? Come on! Especially when I (and apparently I'm not the only one) seem to go through phones on a semi-monthly basis since HTC cant seem to make a button that wont break if you so much as look at it wrong. How bout following the typical software world and having us buy the software... be that for a 1 year license or whatever. I don't know of many pieces of software that make you pay PER use. :?:

Now that I've vented, I feel better. I guess I'll go pay... i mean "donate" so that I can unlock my latest phone.

This comment is in no way meant to disrespect anyone but for me it only took 1 replacement for me to figure out to go easy on the button and I've had the same replacement phone for over a year now.

that's not entirely true. Here's the license info from the link in the OP


as long as you are not using it commercially you can use it many times such as on a replacement device, etc... by just contacting them. So it is FREE unless YOU are making money off of it.

I had to get a replacement phone due to touchscreen failure

as the post states..if you can't/don't want to pay for a second one, send a message at HTC-Unlocks Support to get the 2nd use free for personal use.

Having an issue with the unlocker, I can go through all the steps and the phone gets to the point where it is at 0% and then it just stays there and does not thing. We have waited an hour or more. Any ideas?

I went from TP2 to Imagio... insurance gave me imagio... I downloaded the unlocker, but it keeps telling me I dont have permission to open. I tried running as admin, but no success. Is this because I already had TP2 unlocker and now need to buy it or is it something totally different?

Edit: Disabled resident sheild in AVG antivirus got it working...

I CAN'T HSPL!!! OPENS AN ERROR ON MY CPU: " WINDOWS CANNOT ACCESS THE SPECIFIED DEVICE, PATH, OR FILE. YOU MAY NOT HAVE THE APPROPRIATE PERMISSION TO ACCESS THE ITEM.".....WHY????

Are you running as an administrator? Windows XP or Windows 7? Antivirus turned off while downloading? Antivirus and firewall turned off when running file?

Hi guys i need help please my Imagio went on black screen on spl flashing process after some mins and it won't boot as it should, then i tried to reboot it my self still the same it won't i also tried removing the battery and the problem did not solve. If holding the red power button doesn't start the Imagio, see if you can get into the bootloader (press the volume down button and then press the red power button, keep both pressed until you get a tri-color screen). If you see the bootloader screen, you should be able to connect the Imagio to a USB port on your PC and reinstall the Imagio ROM from Personal Communications Devices | Our Devices - XV6975. Hope that works.
