Re: New ROM VZW 3.04 Shipped
That reminds me of WM 6.1 on the Touch Pro2, it boots under 40%! And it's lightning fast too....BUT UGLY! LOL
Imagio is nicer looking. Except for the blue slider... I got sick of that slider quick... |

Re: New ROM VZW 3.04 Shipped
I know I'm a little late here BUT just installed the new ROM(yes, first flash). What a pain it is after a hard reset or new flash. It's been two days and I still don't have everything I need downloaded and or tweaked.
but so far i feel it's ten time better. Batt life so far is unbeleivable. Been downloading and re-starting ALL morning and my Batt is still at 70%. My stock ROM with normal use would be at 50% by now. I love this and can't wait for REAL ROM's !!!!!!!!

Ok, so how is your battery talk time? That's when the battery get a real hit...

Re: New ROM VZW 3.04 Shipped
Thats what I meant. I use my phone all day. It's a work phone. NON-Stop phone calls and bluetooth on ALL day. Some days I get more calls than others. But today I have had moderate calls and have been Downloading and re-starting ALL morning. I am still doing it. I used to change my battery at noon every day because it would be almost dead. Since the last post(hour ago) i have had 4 calls and 3 downloads and I'm still at 70%(it actually went up to 71% for some reason????). At this rate I won't have to change my battery until around 3:00. I just flashed yesterday. So who knows, maybe my luck will run out. Maybe it's a fluke. But i do notice the snappier speed and a few other things I like so far. Glade I did it....

Re: New ROM VZW 3.04 Shipped
Interesting. It's funny how some people get worse battery life than others. Wonder if there is something in the mix that causes this abnormal consumption of the battery...

Re: New ROM VZW 3.04 Shipped
yesterday my battery drained to 20% where it normally would be 50-60% in the evening.
Something funky IS indeed happening with the battery but overall i'd put the life as improved with this ROM.

Thats exactly why I waited to flash. three quarters of the people said the battery life was worse. So i hesitated as long as i could. But i couldn't take it anymore and did the flash. I am in the lucky "one quarter" that got better batt life. Who knows? maybe my Old batt life was so bad that I thought it was normal. And now I just think it's better because it's normal now???? another hour has gone by. Three 5 minute phone calls and only down to 64%. And YES, still downloading and re-starting like a nut..... |

Re: New ROM VZW 3.04 Shipped
I'm one of those who reported horrible battery life after the flash.
Interestingly, in the past two days, it's gotten much better. Maybe there's something about complete drain/recharge cycles, not sure. At this point, it seems my battery life is at least as good as it was before, possibly better. My phone was at 98% charge when I disconnected the AC at 5:30 this morning (I never get to 100% for some reason), and right now, 1PM EST, I am at 81% (no calls yet today, just emails). So, 17% loss after more than 7 hours with three email accounts (one Exchange, Direct Push disabled, checks every 5m, and two IMAP, check 15m on one, 30m on the other). That seems pretty decent. This is the extended battery btw. Edit: BT also enabled the entire time, GPS and GSM off Last edited by MegaZapFan; 03-01-2010 at 02:06 PM. |

Re: New ROM VZW 3.04 Shipped
Still have the damned "Click to preview" issue, seems sporadic, comes and goes (only with the IMAP account)
Anybody have any luck figuring that one out? |
