Exact directions are in the first post.

Everyone please remember that this is a very old build now. The only reason I use it is because its so easy to get up and running. Once everyone gets used to the basics, just slowly work your way up to newer and different builds.
sorry about your problems. I dont even use my touch any more so I can't really troubleshoot for you guys anymore. but if you continuing posting here or the google android page, Im sure some of the folks on there will being more than willing to help you to move to a newer one

Re: **UPDATED** Android On Vogue - n00b Guide (now with files)

Hi I like the idea of being able to run android from SD Card, so I gathered everything nessecary and followed this to the bone, but Everytime I run HaRET I get to the point and it says

No sys found on SD. Booting Part/NAND
Creating a new Data store
dd: Can't opem /sdcard/data.img : Read-only file ststem
Failed
Failed to allocate the storage

it just seems to hang here... any suggestions?

Well just a suggestion check the thread you downloaded the systen file from and check for other users that had simmilar issues and see what was recommended, or post the issue in that thread.

I seemed to have found the issue. When I last downloaded the Rootfs and zImage i guess they corrupted during download, I used firefox to re-download and now able to boot into this android. Thank you.

Re: **UPDATED** Android On Vogue - n00b Guide (now with files)

I wonder if anyone can help me. I'm trying to run this on my Vogue & it keeps getting stuck. I'm running it from my SD Card. I can get Linux to load, do its thing & get all the way to the Hero/HTC booting screens. Once the Location Consent screen appears & I hit next the button it stalls for a bit then goes back to the Hero/HTC booting screens & will loop between the 2. I've tried everything to get it to work...although some of the downloads/fixes are no longer available to download. Can anyone help or post the right files to get this going?

Which hero build are you using? We've evolved quite a lot of changes lately to how android boots on the vogue, so be sure you're using the latest files.
Most of us developers on the project hang out at xda so I'm sorry I didn't see you're post sooner.

I'm using the one posted at the bottom of the 1st page of this tread...Zen's. I've tried several at XDA but none of them got me as far as this one. They would get hung up or stuck on the Linux boot screen. Where should I start? I keep running to problem with updates or files that posted on here or at XDA where the links are no longer valid. I've been trying to find a good build for my phone for weeks. Any suggestions?

Re: **UPDATED** Android On Vogue - n00b Guide (now with files)

Great post, I went to xda and used Myn's Warm Donut Darkstar RLS3, seems to work great, so far no real issues...just getting used to how Android runs compared to WM

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=619980 good info besides what has been said here.
