Ervius' Package Creator 5.4 keeps crashing

When I select a cab, and extract it, it seems to work fine, but when I close MSCEInfEn, I get this error:

Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediately.

Source and destination path must have identical roots. Move will not work across volumes.

"Open package" and "Open cab file" are greyed out, and if I click "Open Initflashes Tab" or "complete package" it says, "First of all select a package!!!"

I have everything in the root of C:/, like the instructions say. Anyone know what this means?

I had this exact same error... You say you have everything on C:/
Is your cab on C as well? It will not work if the cab is somewhere else.... Other then that, i would try re-installing....
If that doesnt work I will try and help you out

Here is a working ervius (attached to the first post) and a quick tutorial on the matter

Edit: The package creator and the .cab need to be on the same drive somewhere, When you extract the files, just click "ok". DO NOT select another directory. It uses this as a temp, and then it will place the OEM automatically in a directory where the original .cab was.

I just put all my files in C:/PPCKitchen/OEM Package Creator like AndrewWelton had set up, and tried it again, and and put the cabs in the PPCKitchen folder, and it WORKED! Odd, I guess I can't have it in C:/OEM Package Creator and have the cabs in the root of the drive. Who knew? But I just made an OEM and will test things out later tonight. Thanks, guys!

Ok, apparently the OEMs themselves do not work. Most of the time BuildOS gives me an error about the hives and registry files, and other times, it completes the cooking, but when I load on the rom, the OEMs either aren't there, or do not work properly. I think it has something to do with the options on the InitFlashFiles tab. One good example is Google Maps, the most recent version. I get a hives error with that one. I OEM'd SpB Keyboard, and it cooked, but when I attempted to access the keyboard, it popped up an error: "Skin loading error. Please reinstall or choose other skin." I thought even the trial came with a base skin?
