you dont need one. it will download data for like 6 days. activesync or wifi.

Vogue doesn't have wifi.
So it would have to be activesync.

yeah i guess i can just use async when i need to use the gps, but it would be annoying if i cant connect when i need it on the go

yea, i'm on my phone, and forgot i was in the vouge forum. just tryin to help
anyway, i think with data disabled you should be able to set quickgps 2 autoupdate and then everytime u sync it will grab the next weeks woth of data

Shaggy, I believe you can do that also,
that's what I was thinking of when you posted the quickgps thing.
Atleast you could do that a while back,
unless I'm thinking of some other gps thing,
but I believe it was quickgps.

that's why I was saying it can take a while when I first posted.
GPS is kinda a pain in my opinnion if you don't use aGPS.
I'd rather go buy a separate gps unit instead.

haha how come the detection is so bad though? and is it possible to just use the agps to connect and just use gps after it does? or is that what agps actaully does

it really all depends on signal quality. the better view of the sky=faster lock.....
Asssisted gps. the agps(PDE) server provides orbit info for the gps sats, so the phone doesn't have to do as much work to get a fix, and when it's working good it will actually give the phone a lock just off the cell tower (rough) which will speed up accurate locks from gps. the most complete dissusion on the topic is probly in the titan section. http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=17032
