pinned issue

I had a GPS program pinned on my spb icon screen (for easy access), then realized the gps program was using all my main storage so I put the GPS program on my micro storage card and deleted it from my internal phone storage. Heres my question: How do I get the program from my storage card to be able to be pinned on my spb icon screen without bringing it back to the internal phone memory (I am using spb mobile shell).

Re: pinned issue

I take it spb mobile shell won't let you run stuff from the storage card?
Maybe try making a link to it on your phone and pointing spb mobile shell to that link...
Not sure since I've never used mobile shell.

Just kinda poke - n - hopin' here.
lmao.

Re: pinned issue

Maybe you could re-install the gps program app/cab and install to storage card and not to device memory.

Re: pinned issue

Also, then create a link in spb to launch the program.

Re: pinned issue

Have you tried the above mentioned fixes?
Judging by the no reply from the original poster,
one of them probably worked.

Re: pinned issue

Sorry I was off line a bit, I have tried all but the reinstall and to no avail. I can't delete then reinstall because I have lost the original on my computer.

Re: pinned issue

Hmmm, well what program are you using?
Maybe I can find the registry entries it has and see if it has any location based reg entries and redirect them to the storage card location of your gps program.

Also,
if you just cut and pasted the program to the storage card,
put it back all the files back where it was,
get sktools(pm me for a link) and use that to move the program to the storage card.
it finds all the reg entries the program has and edits them to the new location, along with shortcuts/etc.

Re: pinned issue

Google Navigator, I am alittle confused about the second part of your answer....I'm not sure the move to phone storage then back to memory card will solve the problem. I'm sure it's just me not understanding what you mean but how would that help?

I didn't really explain that great.

Put it this way,
you installed the program to the device,
therefore all of the registry entries that the program uses are created with the locations of the items on the device.
if you just cet and paste the program to the storage card,
then it doesn't change those registry locations.
Therefore when you go to run the item it will point to the previous location on the phone, and not the new one on the storage card.

Sktools allows you to move the programs to storage card, and it repoints the registry locations to the one on the storage card.

Did I explain it better this time? haha, I doubt it, but worth asking.
