HTC Touch battery issue

I have had my Touch since Feb of 2008 and the factory battery was starting to show signs of age. I bought a new battery off of Radioshack.com last week. I charged this battery to full as per the instructions. This thing sucks! It dies faster than my 15 month old battery that came with the phone. The brand name of the new battery is Dantona Industries. The new battery is 1100 mAh just like the old one. Radioshack expects ME to pay shipping to send this back to their warehouse. This means I would have paid shipping two times and got nothing out of it. I am posting this to see if there is some sort of test or trick to try before I have to pay RS AGAIN for nothing. Thanks!

Re: HTC Touch battery issue

I would take it in to your local store and see if they will exchange the battery. http://www.radioshack.com/helpdesk/i...isplay=returns

Re: HTC Touch battery issue

The battery is not sold in retail stores and has to be returned online. My girl used to work for RS so she told me all their policies.

Re: HTC Touch battery issue

Try taking an eraser(like the kind on a pencil)
and using it to clean the connectors on the phone and battery.
if that doesn't work, then you're stuck returning it
because more than likely you got a bad one.

Re: HTC Touch battery issue

Thanks for the tip. I just emailed RS with my issue. Awaiting a response. I am hoping they can resolve this without any more money out of my pocket.

oh my bad, i thought for some reason you said you tried that.
or maybe I just assumed that. woops.

also, when you call radioshack, talk to a manager.
there's always managers in call centers and they always have the power to waive some $ depending on the company.
I use to work for apple, nike, and a few others in call centers.
Personally, i walked out of nike after a month due to their extremely extremely extremely extremely extremely extremely extremely extremely extremely extremely extremely extremely extremely extremely extremely extremely horrible customer service.
you really can't even call it customer service it's that sh*tty.
