Do you need to go any further? If it relocked and reflashed, I would send it back in that state.

You can connect with activesync and delete the welcome shortcut from the \windows\startup folder on your phone, uninstall my mobiler and reinstall it to a different location and then try to reconnect.
The only reason I wanted to run it again, was just to make 100% sure it was the original Bell ROM on there.

I can't even find mymobiler on the phone using activesync explorer.

Re: Re-locking Bell Touch

Can you find the windows directory. You won't be able to see it unless you set hidden files to visible on your computer

Ok, found the folder. So if I delete that welcome file, and re-install mymobiler, is it going to allow me to check that I have the right ROM on it?

Re: Re-locking Bell Touch

Maybe. If it auto installs

Deleting the welcome shortcut will all it to boot and bypass the alignment screen.
You need to reinstall My mobiler on your PC too. Sometimes it auto installs on your phone and sometimes it requires that you select where to install it (this is a problem)

Re: Re-locking Bell Touch

Bah.

Can't delete the file...wont allow access to it. It's welcome.exe. I tried downloading the trial version of pocket controller PRO and I cant install that program since I assume Im stuck on the setup screen.

Tried to use a program called Remote Screen alignment by Mobile speak, but I get an error message when I try to use that too.

I've read other tutorials that get you to download a "fake" welcome.exe file and then copy it to the \windows folder, however it wont allow me access to overwrite the welcome.exe file either. I'm tempted just to leave the phone as it is, and just hope that HTC doesnt come knocking looking for me to return the new phone they sent me.

I do appreciate all your help in this thread though...I just seem to be getting blocked at every turn.

Re: Re-locking Bell Touch

Sorry you couldn't get it working.
You should have covered the steps of
Relocking = Done
Flashing OEM ROM = Done
Hard Reset? I would go do a blind hard reset again JIK.
Then send it back that way.
