Today Screen Tutorial

Is there a today screen tutorial for the Verizon VX 6900? I have seen the thread on "post your today screen" but how do you make those changes. I have search for a tutorial but have been unable to find one.

There are many ways to make changes to the today screen. It's kind of a learning process. Most changes are made by various different programs...lots of programs are known as TODAY SCREEN ENHANCEMENTS like you can find here. Many other programs have capabilities that can be displayed on the TODAY screen by going under SETTINGS, click on TODAY, click on ITEMS tab at the bottom, and turning them on and off. Some will open up the OPTIONS button on the right which will let you customize what is shown. There's also themes that can be d/l and applied and many other things.

What kind of device are you running? Do you have HTC Home on there?
If you do I would recommend downloading HTC Home Customizer v1.0 as it's one of the easiest ways to make changes to that specific program.

Thanks Darren,

I want to remove the weather icon in HTC Home. I also want to remove the messaging icon and the shopping basket and replace them with some other icons. I am not planning on using the data plan so I do not need these on the today screen.

After I get comfortable I am place a different background on the today screen.

I just got my VX6900 2 days ago and so far I am happy with it. I have upgraded to Windows Mobile 6.1

Next step will be to try out some videos. Thanks

Does HHC work with official 6.1 upgrade? Local weather and altered icons are the only things I miss from the old ROM (I didn't change very much on the phone)

Yes... HHC does work with this official 6.1 upgrade. However... I responded to your other post on HoFo on getting your local weather. You will want to take those steps prior to installing HHC. There is a thread in this forum also describing the steps needed to get your local weather on this official WM6.1 ROM.

It's in the 3rd post over in this thread...
