Custom city in HTC Home w/ official WM6.1 upgrade...

Does anyone have the solution of adding a custom city to the HTCHome weather application after installing the official Verizon 6.1 upgrade on HTC Touch (XV6900)? Has anyone tried? I've read a lot of ways and tried everything, and was only successful at needing a hard reset. If anyone has the solution and could point me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance...

Talking Re: Custom city in HTC Home w/ official WM6.1 upgrade...

Thanks hooover but I had already tried that method with no success... I did however finally come up with the solution.

Okay...so after about 20 or so hard resets and many failed attempts I finally got this to work. Below are the steps I took to successfully be able to have custom cities in the HTC Home on this official WM6.1 ROM from Verizon. I don't know if anyone else has been having this problem...but if you are here is how you can get it to work. The only thing is that it does downgrade the HTCHome application, however it makes it a 6-tab version, which for me I like better.

1) Uninstall HHC if you have it installed already
2) Disable HTC Home from the today screen
3) Soft-reset
4) Download and install the HTC Home 2.1 for all other devices (Schen cab, WM6 only) from N2A's Weather Patched Files
5) Thank N2A out-loud for doing all he did for us
6) Soft-reset after installing as required
7) Install HTC Home Customizer v1.0
Run HHC from programs
9) Go to 'WEATHER' tab and change database from 'DEFAULT' to 'CUSTOM'
10) In bottom half enter info for city you want to get weather for
11) Click SAVE CITY TO CUSTOM DATABASE
12) Make any other changes within HHC that you wish...I recommend changing from CELSIUS to FAHRENHEIT in the OPTIONS tab at least.
13) Click SAVE in lower left corner
12) Soft-reset
13) Click on HTC Home weather tab on TODAY screen and update away...

Changing cities from now on after doing this will be as simple as launching HHC and adding the new city to the CUSTOM list.
As I said these steps worked for me and took me a long time to figure out...try at your own risk...if you do run into any problems let me know and I can try to help you out.
