Instant Messaging vs SMS?
On the Sprint Touch there are three different ways to text (or so it seems).
1. Email 2. SMS 3. Instant Messaging (requires a program download/install) Email is pretty straightforward but I'm a little unclear about the pros and cons of IM (instant messaging) vs SMS. Anybody care to share there insights as to the good/bad of either or each? I haven't downloaded the program yet so I don't know what IM is all about. |

IM is like chatting with someone on the computer, like with AIM, Yahoo Messenger, etc. While threaded sms makes them look similar, they are different. IM uses your data connection. SMS does not use data.
