unlock questions

i have the vogue and was wandering how i could tell if it was unlocked...i had the hook up for a while and purchased it from a friend that works at sprint for a steal.he said it was unlocked but idk.is there anyway to tell.i've read that for you to run another rom it needs to be...i'm currently running android...does that count??any help would be taken to heart

It almost certainly is unlocked... hold down the camera and power buttons and restart (poking the little hole on bottom with stylus)

it has four colors...red,green,blue,and white.in the green it says
vogu100
spl-0.36.0000
cpld-3
in the blue,and red theres nothing and in the white it says'serial on the top of the white portion.no numbers...can anyone help
