Re: My office doenst support push email - only BBs and iphones

I would have anybody who used the above fired or at least reprimanded first. Getting around IT policy is a terminatable offense in many (most?) companies.

Do you like your job?

Yes, your computer needs to run at all times and yes it updates all outlook functions, i.e. calendar, contacts.......

I would say the same. The server the company has and pays for is there for a reason. It is secure, and does not require any third parties to have access to your machine or your email.

So, your phone is completely stock, and you have not hacked it????? Go look in the mirror before you get on your soap box!!!

woah... there is a difference here... modifying your phone, with software that is free or otherwise, is quite different than routing potentially sensitive data from a company through a third party server.

If I did that, I wouldn't just be fired, I'd be arrested most likely. They are serious about their patient data.

If you work as a hair dresser and your emails contain your daily scheduled appointments, then by all means go through that email forwarding service...

you are getting the info from the server not your pc so you don't need to have your pc running. I shut both of my pc's down and am still able to sync. As far as the error goes, you probably need to install the security certificates that your company uses. Try syncing to your pc first, and see if it will sync that way, then you should be good...at least until you do any sort of reset on your ppc.
