New US Cellular ROM; opinions

Hey all,

I flashed by HTC Touch (US Cellular) with the new official ROM provided on HTC's website (ROM: 3.01.573.4/Radio: 3.42.30). I did the flash in the hopes of getting the internal GPS to work, as the previous radio ROM was evidently not strong enough. However, I still have had no luck. My settings are correct: COM3 and 4800 baud rate. I was curious if anyone else has tried the new ROM? If so, have you got the GPS to work? Or is this ROM again not strong enough?

I flashed my Touch as well with the same Rom. My GPS works on com4.

forget the touch! get a mogul! its as good as us cellular gets.. i have to have a keyboard

I also had the same problem with my us cellular htc touch but i used this link and it now locks on to 5-10 satellites in under 1 minute.Look at post #672 http://www.howardforums.com/showthre...&page=45&pp=15

I've been trying to get this to work using the directions on the link I posted, on the link that stlman posted, and QPST will not accept my SPC code. It's the same one I used to unlock my phone, and the same one I still get from GetSPC.exe

So I'm stuck for the moment on this.

I'm running Dette's TF3D Vogue ROM, so I'm not sure if that's affecting this or not.

Try 000000. Thats the default code I believe.

i have tried 000000 no good either.... y does uscc have to be so annoying

Do you have windows mobile 6.1 on your touch? And if you do did you download QPST and the htc serial drivers? If you have both then but your phone in dianostic mode and plug it up to your computer and install the driver. After that run QPST and choose which com port your phone. Lastly run QPST service tool or something like that and the code should pop up automatically.
