The problem with Alltel that we noticed is if you set your phone it to EVDO only you won't be able to make or receive calls, where we are anyway all calls are 1X... We keep ours in Hybrid.

Totally agreed. Its the same for me here. I was just suggesting he do that so he can roam on Sprint for his data. I did forget about the voice. Thanks for bringing that up.

So with that said is it still a good idea to do the reg edit? And I would still be able to send/receive calls if I only switch to evdo only while im tethering right? Oh and as far as what rom I have... its 3.10.671.1 ... the official rom alltel came out with that unlocked gps

hey all,
I'm up in the northwoods and I have the same problem, was on a titan, now (thanks to multiple xbm's) on a touch pro. Tech support has told me diddly squat other than I should be getting better speed even on 1x signal, I sit in a sprint area and still only get 1x signal  anyway now that they up graded me I actually get worse proformans when tethered, but I love the new phone lol
