Re: What can I do to speed up my download speed???

The problem is that your phone will default to the strongest signal. So if wherever you are Sprint is the strongest then yes you will have Rev A.

When you moved did you update your phone's roaming? Dial *228 and select option 2 and let the phone update. I did this a few times (until it told me that my phone didn't need to be updated). It may help get you out of the "roaming" area. Other than that I'd go to alltel and tell them you are roaming at "home"...

Yea ive done the *228 thing a few times but from what I could tell it didnt really change anything. I changed the phone settings from standard to home only just to see what it'd do but it wouldnt pick up a signal whatsoever. I noticed for the first time yesterday when I tried to do *228 it actually went to Verizons update recording so I guess its certain that im roaming on verizon. Im wondering if I load a sprint prl would I be able to force the phone to roam on sprints towers instead.

J/K you said speed test on your phone is showing 800k then you should get that on the laptop. i tether via BT and get great speeds even while driving down the highway. Might want to check usb drivers for your computer. What are you using for tethering? ICS ' BTDUN ' PDA net?

One thing you might also want to try is setting the mode of operation to evdo only. You will find this setting under your dialer options. See if you can set it to evdo only and you might get the Sprint signal. Its worth a try.

Well I use the actual alltel tether that came with the phone. I pay the $10 a month so I just plug usb in and go to internet connection, click connect and thats about i

From the dialer click on menu on the bottom right. Then options>services>mode of operation>click Get Settings..... Choose EVDO only. Lets hope this works for you

Re: What can I do to speed up my download speed???

Weird because I am on Alltel and I have the option. What rom are you running?

Try this using a registry editor. Go to \\\registry\HKLM\SOFTWARE\OEM\PhoneSetting\

Example: Change the value of 'HiddenModeOperationPage' from 1 to 0. Save, soft reset. On your phone go to settings->phone->Services->
