Re: HTC Touch (Vogue) Flash has gone horribly wrong.
Have you tried dialing *22803 and re programming the phone? Then dial it again and hit option 2 to update the roaming lists.

Re: HTC Touch (Vogue) Flash has gone horribly wrong.
I have tried. As the radio isnt' coming up I can't make a connection and it just ends the call. I've tried when I've had Roaming Established and it gives me the recorded message that I have to activate the phone.
All outgoing calls are not possible, including calls to client care or activation numbers. The radio, with Roaming Disabled (so I use the Telus system) eventually times out and sits as "No Service". *Update in OP Last edited by TBoomer2; 11-16-2008 at 05:02 PM. |

Re: HTC Touch (Vogue) Flash has gone horribly wrong.
Final update for those curious.
It seems as though the Internal Antenna on the Touch Vouge disables itself if something should touch /activate the external antenna port. When I initially started playing with the phone I thought that was one of the reset buttons and put a pin inside of it. Since then the Internal antenna seems to be disabled and the RX Power is suffering as it floats at around -120db. For the time being I've been able to put a paper clip into the external antenna port and get a basic connection so I can atleast make phone calls. I'm curious if anyone has encountered this problem and has a solution / code to re-enable the internal antenna. I've tried a hard reset / soft reset and re-flash of the OEM Telus ROM and none have worked. |

Re: HTC Touch (Vogue) Flash has gone horribly wrong.
How long have you had the phone? If it is under 1 year, I'd go to a Telus store and get them to replace it. Just remember to flash the 0.40coke spl and then flash the new Telus ROM before bringing the phone in (just flashing the new telus ROM doesn't cover the fact you hacked your phone).

Re: HTC Touch (Vogue) Flash has gone horribly wrong.
I already ordered the placement and I'm back on the Telus ROM after flashing with .40.
Is there something I can check to make sure I don't have a hacked bootloader enabled? Using the power/camera/reset command I now see the following; VOGU100 SPL-2.01.0000 CPLD-3 |
