Activesync Conenction issues

I'm finding that with my completely on - i'll lose my activesyn conenction on and off. Sometimes when it comes on, it recognizes it as a different PC.

Anybody else ever have this issue?

Re: Activesync Conenction issues

I found activesync to be buggy, it will disconnect you if the phone goes into hybernate and it will reset your connection from time to time.

Re: Activesync Conenction issues

I have the Diamond now have had Treo, Centro and for some reason can not get Diamond to sync. I have lost 13 hours of my life on the phone with sprint and HTC trying to get this issue fixed. Does anyone out there have any help for me.

Re: Activesync Conenction issues

When I got my HTC Touch I couldn't sync with my computer (XP). Many hours spent with Sprint and they couldn't solve the problem. I actually removed the Touch and re-activated my old phone a couple of times in frustration.

I ended up uninstalling Activesync, locating all files and folders on my harddrive and deleting anything that said Activesync, rebooting the computer and re-installing Activesync and since then I've had a good connection and never a problem.

Note: When you get the HTC Touch the very first thing to do is go to Settings/Connections/USB to PC and uncheck the box "Enable advanced network functionality".

I now have a program installed called Killsync that shuts Activesync off so I can have the Touch connected to the computer to charge via USB without constantly syncronizing via Activesync.

I also have an Activesync shortcut so I can start Activesync when I want to syncronize.
