Open the camera app. Bottom right corner is an icon that looks like 3 sideways i's. click that and then click the gear icon. Second on the list is shutter sound.

Re: deactivating snapshot sound

Try looking in HKLM\Software\HTC\Camera\General There should be a disable shutter sound key in the registry.

Re: deactivating snapshot sound

The key should have a value of either 1 or 0. change it to the opposite. Interesting that the Bell Touch camera app doesn't have the option. What is the camera build # (in about)?

**EDIT** will look in the registry and see if any other thing can be changed.

Re: deactivating snapshot sound

I found this in registry tweaks, and went one better. I created a blank Snap.wav file that you can either use with this tweak, or just use a file explorer like total commander and replace the sound file with this one.

HKLM\Software\HTC\Camera\Common
"SourceOfSnapSound" = "\Windows\Snap.wav" (CHANGE to location of desired sound)
Attached Files
File Type: zip Silent shutter.zip (943 Bytes, 7 views) Click for barcode!

You need to replace the old .wav with the new one, not just place it on the SD card.
