Re: touch with car stereo
It sounds to me like the audio plug is not 'in' all the way. By this I mean that it sounds like all the contacts on the jack are not touching all the contacts inside the plug. Or it may be a bad cable. These are my educated guesses. Next time you're in your car, try pushing the 1/8" jack harder into the slot (yes, that's what she said) and try turning it as well, if that makes sound come out of the right speaker then it's probably not making good contact. Hope it helps, and good luck.

Re: touch with car stereo
Your adapter, the one that plugs in the EMU plug....Does it have 3 or 2 black stripes?
Sounds like you only have 2 stripes....You need this adapter with 3 stripes http://www.radioshack.com/product/in...ductId=2603246 (see the three black stripes...) edit: And this is discussed many times in the apache, mogul, and vogue forums... ![]()

Re: touch with car stereo
Yes, the 2.5mm side needs 3 stripes. The link I posted is available at your local radioshack today, and it has a three striped 2.5mm male, and a 3.5mm female side that allows you to plug in your 2 striped 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable into your stereo.

Re: touch with car stereo
Resurrecting an old thread here but I was keen to have my Touch play music in my car.
Picked up this adapter. It's the YC A300 and it runs $10 CDN. You can find it at other sites, I'm just using the link with which I purchased the item. It's OEM HTC. It has 2.5 & 3.5 mm jacks, the HTC USB power input, the HTC headset input...pretty much everything you need AND music - on the 3.5 mm jack at least - was in stereo on BOTH channels in my car. yay! Just query HTC YC A300 in google/bing/yahoo/whatever and you won't be disappointed when you hook up your Touch in your car...provided you have a stereo with a 3.5mm input. heh. sincerely, MT |
