Re: changing
Hey all,
Here is the breakdown I used in my consideration of moving over from a Vogue (Sprint Touch) to either a Diamond or a Diamond Pro
Diamond:
G-Sensor (Pro)
Faster CPU (Pro)
Nice Screen (Neither pro or con as the Touch has a nice screen as well)
Full Touchflo 3d rather than the hacked TF2d/Manilla using now (Pro)
Size, shaped different than Touch but roughly comparable in size AND I use the belt pouch anyway (neither pro nor con)
No SD card support, limited to 4 GB (CON)
No physical keyboard (I use the onscreen so neither pro nor con)
Wi-Fi/Bluetooth - Pros
ICS - Pro
Touch Pro (Should be named Diamond Pro in my opinion):
G-Sensor (pro)
Faser CPU (Pro)
Nice screen as well (neitehr pro nor con for me)
Full Touchflo 3D again (Pro)
Size - only about 3MM thicker than Touch literally, non issue as if you are that concerned about the minor thickness at that level then you need some looser pants LOL
SD Card Support (Pro as I use a 8GB card)
Physical Keyboard (Pro)
Wi-Fi/Bluetooth - Pros
ICS - Pro
My major issue is with the actual "feel" of the device from side-by-side comparisons with the Sprint Touch vs. Diamond and Touch Pro is that the Diamond feels good while the Touch Pro seems light, weakly built as well as many issues I have read and spoke with people regarding the Touch Pro having case issues as well as speaker/sound issues also, although I have read the majority of those issues are coming ONLY from the phone obtained at Best Buy locations and have heard little complaints from those obtained at Sprint stores directly, not sure if the early adopter locations recieved lesser quality units or not although that would seem weird coming from the same factories and all
Touch HD - want badly for tons of reasons buuut as it is NOT coming to the US I will wait until a comparable model does arrive which by the typical timeline HTC usually follows could be roughly 1st or 2nd quarter which is fine by me
Just my opinions
Detroit Doug
