hi,
so I tried to change the default keyboard on my HTC Touch WM 6.1. I followed this guide. http://www.ppcsg.com/index.php?showtopic=45727&hl= I double checked the entry and also verified that the keyboard ID is indeed installed under: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\$SIP_CLSID$ I've been doing this 2 times now, but each time Windows Mobile won't load anymore and I end up doing a hard reset. What am I doing wrong. Thank you |

Re: Setting default Keyboard
The problem with the post you lnked is its from '05 you should take a look at this post : http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=39925 there is alot of useful info included all thanks goes to conflipper...once you see these you will forget about the any default keyboard...
But if you would like to change your keyboards that are default the settings>personaal>input: where it says input method pick the keyboard that you like compact qwerty is what I like to use!!! |

Re: Setting default Keyboard
I know what you mean. It is amazing that setting the input method in Settings doesn't seem to do anything. This is a bug that has been with WM for a while. Anyhow, check this link. I haven't gotten around to it but I think it's what you want.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...ight=sipchange BTW, what you are talking about is SIP (soft input panel), keyboard is just so 20th century ![]() AND BTW2: PPCGEEKS -- SIP is a very definitive term, but I had to google it because you seem to think a search term must be 4 characters. I understand you don't want people searching for "the" but your solution isn't really too practical. |
This post has been thanked 1 times. |
