Re: Locking Phone with Manilla
I was wondering why people prefer to use an app to lock their phones ans opposed to pushing the lock/off button on the top of the phone. I use the button because it turns the screen off, saving power.
Is there soe advantage to using a program like S2Unlock that I am not aware of (other than cool graphics?)

Re: Locking Phone with Manilla
Whatever software locking feature that is built into the vogue/WM 6.x is handy in more ways than one.
1. It's super easy to turn the phone on by accident if it's in your pocket. If the phone gets turned on, all sorts of buttons can get pushed. 2. It's nice to have the phone locked when you're receiving calls. If you go to pull your phone out of your pocket while it's rining, it's very easy to launch apps, end the call, etc, if the phone is not locked. |

Re: Locking Phone with Manilla
nvm I found it. DeviceLock.exe. I created a shortcut in the Programs folder in the Start Menu, which allowed Manilla to add it to its program list. Even takes you back to the main screen. Just what I wanted.
Now to find Comm Manager, orientation and backlight. |

Re: Locking Phone with Manilla
I would also like to have a way to quickly access screen orientation and backlight without having to go to setting. Maybe I'll try AEButtons+, but there's not many hardware buttons to program. Ideally I'd like access from the control bar on the top of the screen.
Any ideas? |
