Whatever software locking feature that is built into the vogue/WM 6.x is handy in more ways than one.

1. It's super easy to turn the phone on by accident if it's in your pocket. If the phone gets turned on, all sorts of buttons can get pushed.

2. It's nice to have the phone locked when you're receiving calls. If you go to pull your phone out of your pocket while it's rining, it's very easy to launch apps, end the call, etc, if the phone is not locked.
