This has happened with every Windows Mobile phone I have ever seen.

same here. Replacing phone is pointless, decreases their profit margin and raises our costs of phones.

has anyone been able to fix this, been bugging the hell out of me. surprising thing is, when i had stock sprint ROM on, it works fine, screen doesn't wake up on roaming, but with new NFSFAN's 6.5 ROM, the screen lights up like crazy every 2 mins. I have poor reception in my house.. it has to be a registry setting if it works properly on stock sprint..
