Is the google maps built into your ROM? If so, alot of OEMs just store the google files in \windows\, but the Maps tab launches \program files\googlemaps\googlemaps.exe ( or something close ). So the quick fix is to copy the googlemaps.exe file into program files\googlemaps\
Better yet, re-build your ROM and place the link in there directly using a custom initflashfiles.txt.

That being said,

If I wanted to use DHarvey's Black Vista Rom with TouchFlo 3, does that mean I should be looking for the TouchFlo cab or the Manilla Cab?

I have the Manilla 2d cab and it works just fine with DHarvey's Black Vista Rom(which is awesome by the way). My only problem is getting the YouTube to play videos. I've already installed the ravest YouTube fix and the HTC_YouTube thread but the videos just freeze.

In regards to that thread, should update 19 be used? seems like its missing some files, not as many installs as the 16....
