Alltel ROM upgrade issue

Okay, I was given a Verizon HTC Touch by a friend that switched to AT&T. I did my research, found the stock Alltel ROM and unlocker. Upgraded the Rom and called Alltel tech support to manually program and activate the phone. It works but it says I am roaming all the time, even in my home area. Also my email won't work and when I try to update roaming (*22 it says, "Welcome to the Verizon network" instead of "Alltel" which hasn't changed yet.

Being that I am a noob at this I am pleased I have made it this far. Can anyone tell me what I have missed or overlooked?

Called Alltel and my PRL was a Verizon PRL and that's where tech support said, sorry we can't help you.
I found the correct PRL and installed it through ##775. Now when I dial *228 I get "Thanks for calling Alltel". The problem now is that the white triangle icon (roaming) turns off and on, not blinking and I still get a roaming message when I recieve calls in my home area. When I try to log onto the internet I get "User name and password is wrong".
According to Alltel the username and password I am putting in is correct. Can anyone throw me a bone here?
