I need help with my touch's ram usage!

Hello my name is nick and this is my first time here, and might I compliment you all on what a wealth of information this forum truly is! Just for the record I checked the FAQ before posting and I couldn't find an anwser.

I recently purchased a sprint touch and am happier everyday that I picked this over the titan. However, I am noticing that my touch is always using at least %35 of its ram as soon as I start it.

This seems high to me for just the operating system using the ram. I would like some advice on wether this is a problem or if it is normal and also on how I can fix it if it is a problem.

From personal experience, non-custom ROMs all run in the mid-high 30% area. If you really feel the need for lower RAM useage, you are best off going to a custom 'clean' ROM.

Man thats normal I have a custom rom and I noticed that memory, one tip that I used is to kill the cube check this post from xda http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=368269 that worked for me.

After soft reset, my Sprint Touch usually shows 29%. Then I shut down ActiveSync and it usually stays or rarely goes down to 28%. It used to be mid 30s with the original WM v6.0 ROM (I'm now running the official 6.1 ROM). Now, since I'm allowing Opera to have 5 tabs and 22,000 KB cache, RAM usage goes up over 60%. Still, Touch runs fine. No problem for me, until mid 70s percent RAM usage.

If you had gotten the Titan you would always be over 65% usage. i don't see 30% being a problem. I think we are fine until WM7.
