Duplicate Contacts In Touch

Hi,
I needed restore my contacts in my phone and i did so using dashwire. Got my contacts back fine, but when i hooked my phone up to my pc, active sync did its usual thing and checked for any changes..well it then duplicated all the contacts in my phone. is there any way to remove all the contacts at one time instead of just removing them one by one by not doing a hard reset???
