HTC Touch freezing on chargers overnight

As referred to in another thread of mine, I have only one question: is this issue of freezing while on a charger overnight endemic to the land of Touches, or is it just mine and a few others?

I picked up an Instinct today to try out, and between the shoddy screen quality and utter lack of customizability, if I had a stable Touch, it wouldn't even be a contest.

Dunno. Doubt it, since I haven't used S2U2 in forever and still had/have the same problem.

I have, however, ESN swapped back to my Touch. Returning the Instinct and picking up a NIB Touch from the Sprint store tomorrow; as a pianist, I find "$50 keyboard vs. $25,000 grand piano" an apt comparison in terms of breadth of features and whatnot between the two.

I have this problem also. Started when I updated the official 6.1 ROM. I have two Vogues and it started happening on both of them after the update. The difficulty is it only happens when the phone is asleep, so you can't see what might have caused it. And it doesn't happen every time you charge it.

Freezing doesn't usually occur unless the Touch
has been modified with hacked or skinned software.

thats BS. I was using my touch for nearly a year without flashing with a new rom, and it would freeze from time to time. SOmetimes overnight, sometimes during a call.

Re: HTC Touch freezing on chargers overnight

I have had this problem for a while too, almost every day, but since I read about turning off the "receive incoming beams" settings, it has not happened since (no smiley face for knocking on wood...so use your imagination that it is here!). I am still running the stock 6.0 rom, no major hacks/mods.

Re: HTC Touch freezing on chargers overnight

Ever since I upgraded from the original ROM to the firs 6.1 ROMS many moons ago, the freezing issue died. The original ROM, (as-configured,) was junk.

Do you think that jbh00jh was referring to stolen software and not just a modified rom?

I have some of the described issues and I'm wondering if it may be due to stolen software. Although, I do not remember experiencing any problems with the original (pre-6.1) rom that was stock with the vogue.
