For those of you who have some problems roaming on the new rom..

I have the 60613 prl. and still have had problems roaming... I called sprint because someone posted on sprintusers about having a hlr update.. well he was wrong... but you do need to have them update something on your phone. Even though my prl is right they need to actually authenticate the phone from there end so... roaming no prob now.. and i did install the roam only hack.. anyways it only took like two minutes I explained that I was having trouble roaming... after a few clicks on her end... she asked me call *2 from the handset.. after a second it prompted that there was an update.. it did its thing.. soft reset itself.. after reboot acted funny for five minutes then... perfect reception.. and I traveled today.. to fringe areas with no troubles... the data is even slightly faster....

this work awsome on the new rom on mogul and it finaly let me roam on evdo thanks alot

I called and emailed and online chatted with support, everyone i talked to was clueless about the roaming problem and told me "its verizons problem"

One person agreed to "refresh" my phone when i asked for the HLR reload, They told me to turn off my phone, "refreshed" it, and i turned it back on. Via email ecare they updated my HLR reload as requested.

I don't know which of these worked, but sprint did SOMETHING and now my roaming works. point is, just ask for hlr reload, be persistent, support is clueless to the problem.

Go into the registry in your phone and do the following:

1) Navigate to HKLM\Software\OEM\InitProv\PhoneSetting
2) Changethe value of ItemCount to 3
3) Add a new String value with name ItemName3 and value Roaming
4) Add a new DWORD value with name ItemValue3 and value 3
5) Reboot your phone

You will now see a Roaming option in the phone settings that lets you force roaming mode.

I also called Sprint today for this same issue. I had called twice yesterday and asked for a HLR reload. Both times I was still unable to make calls while roaming, even after resetting the phone. Today I called for a third time and explained the situation again. The person I talked to in Tech Support said that she sent a new PRL Update to my phone and reset my voice and data settings. Within seconds, my phone reset itself. Now my roaming works fine.
I first starting having roaming problems 2 months ago on my Treo 755p right after I had called in requesting a PRL update. I then went to a Centro and now the Touch. This problem has followed me up until now.
