how can i lower my cpu usage, constantly at 50%+

just like the title says.

no matter what i do the cpu usage is always at 50% or higher even when i close all programs with the task manager. can someone shed some light on this issue?

either you have a bad flash ... or you have too many programs saved to the device.. or you have a crapload of mp3 ringtones saved to your device...



on your task manager also make sure that the "tap x to end program" toggle is clicked....

how long have you had your touch?

i just had a couple people tell me they had theres down to 5-11%!

thanks for the response

flashed to dharveys rom and i just reflashed it actually this morning and the same problem is happening. i have no new programs on top of the rom that is flashed and to my knowledge no one else is having the issue i am having.

i save pretty much nothing to my device and have almost nothing saved on my phone or memory card.

yes i have the "tap end to end program" enabled.

here is what it says on my memory tab under settings:

I do have a good amount of stuff saved to my Device, but I do plan on removing some of it. I also have some Plugins running...Ultimate Launch, Weatherpanel, BatteryStatusExt, Face Contacts, and Google Search.

I'm at 39% with weatherpanel and gpstoday running on my today screen. then i have ICS, text messages, and dashwire in my task manager.

and i dont believe anyone got it down to 5% unless they removed the cube and tflo and everything else except essential windows files.
