Re: Videos on storage card don't show up in camera album
I figured out a work around for this. You can have the storage card mounted as \My Documents which will then allow camera album to find all of the videos stored there. It also frees up more memory on the touch because everything in the my documents directory is now stored on the sd card - which in my case is 8gb so it has plenty of room. If you want to do this first rename your \My Documents directory to \My Documents2. Then edit the registry entry \HKLM\System\StorageManager\Profiles\SDMemory\Fold er - change it to "My Documents". Reset your phone and now go to My Documents2 and move everything from in there to the new My Documents directory (which is your SD card).
Now for the disclaimer - this worked fine on my XV6900 and I have no guarantee that this won't cause problems on your phone although I can't think of any reason that it would. I'd suggest backing up all your files on the SD card as well as in your My Documents directory just in case. |

Re: Videos on storage card don't show up in camera album
My Sprint Touch brings up the videos from my storage card just fine using the camera album app without doing anything special. Must be a Verizon thing, and from the looks of it, it doesnt seem like anyone else is having this "issue" either.

Re: Videos on storage card don't show up in camera album
Actually, I found a lot of people on here having this problem as well and I found noone that had a solution. I also phoned HTC tech support today and they were able to replicate the problem on a CDMA touch (not sure if it was a sprint or verizon model) and were sending the issue upstream to the developers. Are you talking about the camera album that you bring up from the touch cube or the Pictures and Videos application in the programs menu? The pictures and videos app worked fine but HTCAlbum (which is called up from the touch cube) would only find videos stored on the device itself.

Re: Videos on storage card don't show up in camera album
Im talking about when you in Video mode, and select the Play soft key in the lower left hand corner, it brings up "camera album" but for Video's instead of Pics. And all of the video's that I record show up just fine.
The people that you say are having this problem must be using the Verizon XV6900 because the Sprint Touch doesnt even have a Video's button on the cube. |

Re: Videos on storage card don't show up in camera album
In keeping with this thread, I have an issue with videos on my Touch. Just recently I tried creating and watching a video for the first time. My photos and video folder is stored on my SD card.
I can record the video and it is in the right folder (the Touch can easily find it under videos), but whenever I try to play the video, Windows Media Player says "The source filter for this file could not be loaded". Anyone know how to fix this problem? ![]()

Re: Videos on storage card don't show up in camera album
It might be the WMP info file. Try starting WMP and adding to the library using the all video search.

Re: Videos on storage card don't show up in camera album
Nope. Thanks for the suggestion, but this didn't work. It found the file but listed an error icon next to it and error details on the file claimed the same thing as the original message. I rarely record and watch video, but this ticks me off that I can't get it to work.
