Sprint 6900 on Verizon working, but stuck in roam

Hey guys, ive gotten my Sprint 6900 working on the VZW network, i can send texts i havnt tried EVDO but i dont really use it anyways, but i will get it working if i can.

But my biggest thing in my way is i cant get out of roaming. That stupid triangle is always there! This is my first 6900 so i assume if its there im roaming butit does have different icon colors, with one being a white outlined triangle and the other being a solid black triangle, whats the differences?

Anyways to get the phone itself working on vzw i copied over all my settings from my old VZW phone including the PRL. The weird thing is their are 2 Nam's for my 6900 but their was only one Nam for my 6700. I dont know how this works and why the 6900 has 2. Can anyone help me? I'd really appreciate it, this forum has been so helpful to me i'm finally starting to give back and help others i really want to write a guide on how i got all my settings working because the written guides didnt work all the way for me.. they helped but their were a few steps that were different so i want to detail that. But theirs no point to writing a guide if i cant fix this.


Here is what im working with and the steps ive taken, if anything else will help please tell me.

Sprint 6900 working on Verizon, all CDMA, Nam, PRL, MSL, MDN, settings have been copied from my 6700 to the phone, they are identical except for a very few things like the model spec and revision numbers AND the fact that the 6900 has 2 Nams which have settings in both CDMA1 and CDMA2 in QPST... what does this do? Also i have screen shots from most of the QPST tabs for my VZW 6700 and my Sprint 6900 before and after the changes.

If you uploaded a sprint rom to your phone and let the customizations run that could very well be the reason why your phone is always roaming. Why don't you try uploading a verizon rom to the phone itself and let verizon's customizations run. The big part (forgive me if I'm wrong) is ppst.exe, if you want to stick with the sprint rom then don't let the customizations run, and try to get verizon's ppst.exe and run that on your phone...you "should" be all set to go.

yeah ive been trying to find a newer verizon rom but ive been having no luck. i have tried a buildos built rom using the verizon carrier but it didnt help with the roaming.

im sorry im new to the 6900 i have two versions of the triangle roaming indicator appear... sometimes its the one line triangle and sometimes its a 2 line. I dont know what that means.

is there a number or program that tells you if youre roaming?
