Re: Anyones battery actualy last a full day?

I don't get a full day, but I use it all day, literally ALL day. It's my portable brain. It's not off more than 30 mins at a time!!!!

So, depends on your useage

Re: Anyones battery actualy last a full day?

I usually end the day with 60% or so depending on usage. I installed the battery tweaks cab day one and actually am getting better battery life than I expected.

Re: Anyones battery actualy last a full day?

My Sprint Touch is about 5 days old now. The first few days the battery was so bad I almost returned it. But I think it takes a number of charge cycles before you really know.

I use GooSync to update my calendar and contacts every 30 minutes. Two IMAP accounts that check mail every 10 minutes. About 20 text messages/day.

Yesterday and today I unplugged the phone about 7am. Maybe an hour of talk time each day on a bluetooth headset. 35-40% battery left at the end of the work day.

Re: Anyones battery actualy last a full day?

With the most recent ROM update my battery is 3X better. As with most of you I probably recieve / send 30 e-mails a day all through our network server and could spend 60 - 90 minutes on the phone a day. I can get through a full day with 40% battery left.

Re: Anyones battery actualy last a full day?

Ill give a detail description of whats on my phone, and how much i used it today and maybe someone can tell me whats wrong.

I got the leaked ROM
Guitar hero
dopewars
slide2lock
weatherpanel
ultimatelaunch

I had my phone plugged into my laptop all night, honestly about 7pm the night before, unplugged it about 7am this morning, so bout 12 hours of charge at least. Throughout the day, I made 18mins worth of calls, did the slide2unlock to check the weather on my Today(weatherpanel) a few times. Everytime I used it, i pushed the top button to turn backlight off. I am roaming 100% of the time, and my phone was completely dead by 3pm.

Any suggestions?

I've heard that roaming will definitely kill your battery. My battery life is ok, not great...but ok. I just got my Touch almost a week ago and im sure the battery life will get better, but I already ordered a Seidio 2000mAH battery.

Also I use BatteryStatus Advanced and it tells me the average mAH drain my phone has. Turning down the brightness of the backlight definitely helps and just make sure you close out of any programs once your done using them.

I am using Dharvey's 2.7.2 ROM and have Ultimate Launch, Weather Panel, Windows Live, and BatteryStatus as my active Today Plugins.

Re: Anyones battery actualy last a full day?

Yeah My battery life is .. EH... but livable .. Today though it got sucked down badly and im not sure why .. I think its because i listened to music for about 2 hours total and made about 20 minutes of calls... checked myspace and googled some stuff and checked weather and sent like 70 texts and i unplugged at 8:30 this morning so it got about 8 hours of charge.. just got this like 4 days ago too and then at about 7 tonight i had to charge so thats not that bad i suppose.. my mogul took about 2 weeks to actually get good batter the first week and a half i had to charge every night then after about that time it started lasting 1 1/2 days or 2 days so it takes a bit to see how it works i suppose

Re: Anyones battery actualy last a full day?

battery life when roaming shouldnt be a problem as long as it is locked on a tower with a decent signal and doesnt need to keep searching for towers or switching towers... i used my phone on roam only for a couple of months straight and didnt notice any change in battery (i get a little over a day). it may help to set the phone to "roam only" so it doesnt try to switch back to sprint...

But I have one battery block by 1pm and the phones completely dead around 3pm. Is this normal? Its a brand new phone because my last one broke. I just got it about a week ago.

I travel a lot, and only had issues with the battery when i had a weak signal. that may be the case with your phone. Maybe a bad signal at work.
