It worked flawlessly. Now using NSFANs ROM, and still had no extra billing on tether. I would ALWAYS recommend doing the same 'day or two before billing' test the first time, just to be sure. |

Re: Bell Tethering
I know that people swear by pdanet, but I would just rather edit the registry myself and use the native abilities of my rom and bluetooth to tether. I've searched around but still have not found a definitive answer as to what changes are necessary.

Re: Bell Tethering
then just get pdanet.. as I have posted many times before about this topic.. the registry edits do not stop from being changed.. it WILL catch up to you. then they will back date and you will be Billed HUGE$$$$$$$

Re: Bell Tethering
Take a look at the recently updated thread called "Tethering a Touch" for instructions on the registry changes and steps. I assume those will work with your phone as well.

i highly suggest all bell mobility users beware as bell billing is fubared. i was getting charged approx 3 months ago for tethering @ $15 /mb and i didnt even thether, hell my phone was not even connected to my computer for that month. this led to a series of a few months where my bills were 500% what they were supposed to be. i suggest you go by doan_1 's advice and try it a few days before your billing period and even then still use with caution, and dont forget that you are dealing with a company that hires their senior managers directly from local zoos. and these monkeys have no issues with charging you extra, whether the usage was there or not. it is simply said the monkey-banana principle. |
