my wife was due for her $150 credit in september, but her red razor was crapping out big time. i had tried to deal with ecare about doing a 2 year renewal early (contract up in sept) and getting her a touch for the $99. ecare kept saying that they couldn't do that. i have insurance on the phone, but why pay the $50 when i am willing to sign up for 2 more years now and get a new phone? they kept saying they couldn't help.

so i called *2, said "cancel" twice at the prompts. i got to retention very quickly and explained my situation. rep asked me if i was calling to cancel - i told hime "well, i won't be cancelling NOW, but if I don't get this phone, i will get my will have to get her a new phone with a different provider and cancel in september" i explained that i want to renew for 2 more years and get a new phone. the man said "sure, we can get you the mogul for $99" also no rebate and billed to my account.

now i want a touch to replace my mogul. the touch diamond is neat, but i really like the design and curved edges on the vogue, where the diamond is very squared off.

other than the nifty screen and 3D interface, what else does the diamond offer?

A lot more memory (storage and program), a 3.2 MP camera, FM radio, WiFi, 4GB internal storage, GPS, the list goes on...

Thanks alot! I never though about looking at the HTC site.

I pulled the trigger on the vogue today - didn't even have to go to retentions - the regular CSR gave it to me for $99 with a renewal, no mail in required.

i like the Touch form factor better than the Diamond. I have another line coming for renewal in about 6 months. if i like the diamond better - i will get that too

yeah my little brother pointed it out to me... kinda sad.. buuuuuuttttt today i picked up my replacement touch (pixels went dead) and the guy (whom i know from High school and is not the brightest) was like "i hate that phone... its too complicated... but the new touch looks hot" of course i was like new touch? and asked him if it had a slide out keyboard and he was like "nah thats the mogul2" so i asked him when it was supposed to be coming out and he said the end of the month... i asked him the price and he said that its not released untill the phone is (just like the instinct) soooo anyone wanna buy a brand new touch with the sprint 6.1 rom

the drop in price is because the HTC Diamond is coming out.. since the diamond is going to be its replacement there getting rid of inventory before the diamond launches...

the HTC diamond is going to be 299 with 2 year contract..

i should know this cuz i just started working at sprint.. good news is i get one free for being the wiz kid in windows mobile devices in my store ... im going to be the tester and guide for the rest of the employees in my store
