Re: Verizon Upgrade Love...where is it?

Are you going to the dial screen, entering ##3424, then hitting the call button? If ##3424 isn't working, try ##3424#.

That, or you can try running it directly. I believe it's in the Windows folder on your device and called DMRouter.exe, you can try executing it directly.

Okay, there was shortcut to the tool in the menu, I just didn't understand what I was looking at. So I follow the directions..and....

GPS is still wicked slow. I hung around outside for several minutes with up to 6 sats showing, but no lock.

Re: Verizon Upgrade Love...where is it?

Did you do the changes that the second reply suggests? It might take that time the FIRST time, but make sure you're not experiencing the commong "GPS standby timeout".

Whenever using your GPS you need to make sure it hasn't been "hung" by some other app. If you're using your GPS and then allow your phone to go into standby mode it usually takes a soft-reset to get it working again. My solution to this has to always been turn off my GPS when I'm done using it.

Try this... Soft reset, go outside in CLEAR coverage, and bring up your GPS app fresh. If it's not locking within a minute or two, something is wrong. Try to be patient the first run though.

Re: Verizon Upgrade Love...where is it?

I wasn't hung becuase I tested it right after a soft reset the first time, but the second time it did lock in a little less than 4 minutes. It's still seems slow to start, but I currently have 7 sats fixed in my office (I never got any in my office before), so I think it worked.

do you have a stock rom right now? most of what I have seen has been if you follow the steps, it will work. Mine has always been a little slow, but it has always worked since the first flash.
