Overheating

dose anyone have a problem with overheating when using ICS via usb with full backlight? i turned the backlight down and now will work but its kind of annoying to be driving, using a bt gps and bt pan with a car charger and have the phone die

Re: Overheating

My solution was to get a vent mounted holder for when I use the GPS. I haven't had it die on me yet, but I didn't want to take any chances. It's also easier for me to se there. Less glare.

Re: Overheating

another thing on this... my phone has a hard time with heat when just using ics via usb under heavier data transfers. but also on another note, 80% to 20% in 9 hours of doing nothing while sleeping (phone was not hot this morning)... could this be a bad battery or just because im in low signal area?

edit: using the Dimond ported rom from SBR_L3gion

I do the same thing, but it's a real bugger during the winter. I bought a second one and used super mount tape to mount it on my dash. It still gets a little warm for me in the winter, but I would never call it overheating, plus it seems to get a GPS lock a touch faster (though that may just be my imagination.

Keep in mind that don't use a BT GPS, but I do have the BT radio turned on, but I usually only have a BT headset connected.

Re: Overheating

the biggest thing was the fact that the usb on the computer just sitting next to it didnt have enough power to keep the device charging and not overheating, now im back home in full evdo area with a wall charger
