Changing directory on Storage Card for pictures to be taken to

Is there a registry edit I can do to put the pictures I snap with the camera in a different directory on the storage card? Would like to do /Storage Card/My Pictures so I can have S2U2 auto pull them as wallpaper.

Alternatively, do you know how I can get S2U2 to use a custom directory instead of the 3 or 4 they offer?

Thanks!

Re: Changing directory on Storage Card for pictures to be taken to

Here ya go. This is an excerpt from the attached file. Other good stuff in there, enjoy!

How to get rid of the DCIM folder and have pictures stored to your storage card under \Storage Card\My Documents\My Pictures:
1. Open up the camera, and press on the 3 bars on the lower right. That should open up the options. The last option will let you pick either main memory, storage card, and bluetooth. hChoose Storage Card and it ok to save. Pictures seemed to be save under \storage card\dcim\100media.
2. To change the path of the saved pictures and video to \Storage Card\My Documents\My Pictures, edit the registry:
HKLM\software\htc\camera\General
- change EnableDCIM from 1 to 0.
Now your pictures will be stored in \Storage Card\My Documents\My Pictures
The problem is the Camera Album won't recognize\My Documents\My Pictures
Rename to \My Documents\_My Pictures
Then in the registry for the camera, have is save to _My Pictures instead of My Pictures
Disable DCIM folder from the registry:
HKLM\Software\HTC\Camera\General
DWORD Value: EnableDCIM
DWORD Data: 0
Allow Date & Time File Name Prefix:
HKLM\Software\HTC\Camera\General
DWORD Value: FilenameType
DWORD Data: 1

I just realized that this is putting them into the Storage Card/My Documents/My Pictures. Is there anyway to specify Storage Card/My Pictures ? S2U2 is being stubborn about that, perhaps I will need to look for a way to change the directories in S2u2

Just copy the pix you want for S2U2 to the device My Pictures folder. It's an easy workaround.

I found the registry entry for S2U2 that allows me to customize the directory so all is well. Thanks a lot for you help!

fyi: it's (\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\A_C\S2U2\Wallpaper)

Re: Changing directory on Storage Card for pictures to be taken to

I have a similar question. I would like to keep my DCIM folder for pics I've taken. But after I DL them to my PC I move them manually to the My Pictures folder on my SD Card. I would like to have the Camera Album point to this folder instead of the DCIM.

I use software from my Cannon camera to DL only new pics automatically, but it sees every pic in my DCIM folder as new, whether it has already DLed them, so it repeatedly DLs them.
