Battery life w/ New Official ROM?

I'm using the unofficial ROM currently and battery life on my phone's been terrible. Another thing I noticed is, randomly, my phone will get really warm. For those of you who have already upgraded to the new Official ROM, can you share your thoughts/experiences on battery life?
