So after being on the latest sprint ROM for two weeks and never even touching the ringer (save for volume adjustments) this started happening again. I have the same problem. So does my wife. I checked a new one in the store. Played a song that has a slow, long intro, and the static definitely is audible. Sounds to me like a crap speaker unless anyone has any ideas. I have given up on this issue.
